Once in a Lifetime · e-MTB · 2027
Five days on an e-MTB in the Italian Alps. Up to 2,200 m down in a day.
Pick your week
The van takes you to the high ridges. The e-bike takes you where the van can't. Then long descents back to town, a night in a mountain hut halfway through, and a guide who lives in this valley.

Transfer from the airport if you booked it, then the hotel, the bikes built, and time for the old Roman town before dinner. No riding.
A gondola from Aosta to the base of the resort, then all on the e-bike up to a ridge that faces the highest peaks of the Alps, and a long trail down to the valley. The day your legs and your guide get to know each other.
A first ridge so narrow it is a real ridgeline, taking you from one valley into the next. Then back up on a trail past a lake, over into another valley, and on to the mountain hut where you sleep.
You leave the hut at first light and reach the ridge through a narrow gap in the rocks, with the Mont Blanc massif in front of you. Long and exposed, fast in places, slow and technical in others. Then flow to the trees and down to the valley, back in Aosta by midday.
A long climb above a chain of waterfalls and a short push to a high pass. Then more than 13 km down: scree, alpine pasture, the river, and a technical finish in the trees. A beer on a terrace, and a last descent along the river into Aosta.
Another trail from the series, or one we have never filmed, picked on the day for the conditions and for how your group has ridden all week.
Breakfast, then the airport transfer if you booked it.

The series
Between 2021 and 2023 we filmed nine trails, one per episode. Five of them are the five riding days of this week. The names we keep for the riders who come.
The honest bit
The e-bike takes the edge off the climbing. It does nothing for the descents.
Steep, loose and rooty. Tight switchbacks, exposed ridges, long descents with no room for mistakes.
Riding day 4 alone climbs up to 2,100 m. With a motor, but still five days back to back.
Mostly flow trails and bike parks at home? Then this is not the week to start with. Tell us how you ride and we will tell you straight, before you book rather than after.
FAQ
You should be comfortable on steep, loose and rooty terrain: tight switchbacks, exposed ridges, long descents with no room for mistakes. If you ride enduro or aggressive trail regularly and feel at home on technical alpine singletrack, you are in the right place. If your riding is mostly flow trails and bike parks, this is not the right starting point.
One night you sleep at altitude, in a proper alpine rifugio. Basic but real: shared spaces, mountain food, and a sunrise over the peaks before anyone else is moving. The contrast with the hotel nights makes both feel better.
Both. Some days the shuttle drives you to the top and you ride down. Others you climb to earn the descent, and Riding day 4 alone has 1,500 to 2,100 m of climbing. This is big mountain riding, not a bike park.
The guide picks the trail on the day, from conditions, the group's level and what you have not ridden yet. It keeps the week honest instead of locked into a script, and in practice you get the best the valley has on that day.
Three weeks in 2027. No group needed: riders on their own and pairs join like everyone else.
Riding as your own group? The week also runs privately, on the dates you choose, June to October. Price depends on group size, so just ask.
“At our request, they took us to some gnarly, steep technical trails off the beaten track, which offered a nice variety from the groomed bike park trails of Pila.”

Operations Manager
Anna builds these weeks, books them and answers the emails. That is why her name keeps turning up in the reviews above: people meet her long before they meet a mountain.
On this page they have nicknames. Leave your email: first how our list was born, then one trail at a time, with its real name and the episode we filmed on it. And the three 2027 weeks.
